Conditions
What we treat, and what we refer out.
Every condition below is one a Vireo clinician manages themselves. Where we refer — interventional radiology for embolisation, maternal-fetal medicine for the most complex pregnancies, reproductive endocrinology for IVF — it is said on the page.
Gynecology
Conditions we manage
Each one has its own page saying what we do, what we refer out, and how the choice between options is actually made.
Fibroids
Medical management, myomectomy, embolisation and hysterectomy. Where the fibroids sit decides the option, not how big they are.
Endometriosis
Diagnosed on the history rather than after years of waiting, and excised rather than ablated where the disease calls for it.
PCOS
A metabolic workup as well as a cycle one, because insulin resistance is the part that matters over decades.
Menopause
Hormone therapy where it is indicated, non-hormonal options where it is not, and a clinician who will discuss both.
Heavy periods
Bloods, ultrasound and a biopsy where needed, in a single visit, and treated medically before surgically.
Ovarian cysts
Most resolve without treatment. The visit exists to identify the ones that will not, and which of those need an operation.
Pelvic pain
An examination that includes the pelvic floor, because a normal scan rules out some causes and none of the rest.
Trying to conceive
The first-line workup in one office, and a clear statement of when to go straight to reproductive endocrinology instead.
Abnormal Pap and HPV
Risk-based management: which result leads to colposcopy, which is followed, and which is simply a return to routine screening.
Recurrent UTI and vaginitis
A culture before antibiotics rather than after they fail, and a prevention plan instead of a fifth prescription.
Painful sex
Entrance pain and deep pain have different causes and different treatments. Almost all of them respond to the right one.
Miscarriage and pregnancy loss
Three management options, all genuinely yours to choose, and a workup after two losses rather than three.
Obstetrics
Pregnancy care
Pregnancy is a service rather than a condition, so it lives under Services — these are the three strands of it.
Prenatal care and delivery
Fourteen visits across nine months, all booked at the first appointment, with delivery at Baptist or Mount Sinai.
High-risk pregnancy
Co-managed with maternal-fetal medicine, with us remaining your primary contact rather than handing you over.
Preconception counselling
Folate, immunity, carrier screening, a medication review and blood pressure — worth a visit on its own.
Know before you book.
Vireo opens in 2027. Until then the plan list, panel status and first-available wait for every office are published on this site and kept current. Questions can go to the practice office on (305) 555-0180.
